A combined tip of 5-10% is suggested but is entirely at your discretion and based on your satisfaction with their performance. See our FAQs here.

Grenada Sailing Week: A Thrilling Caribbean Adventure

Grenada Sailing Week, formerly the Grenada Sailing Festival, is an action-packed regatta spanning five exhilarating race days. To ensure you get the most out of the experience, we include two days of pre-regatta training and some post-race cruising, allowing you to fully enjoy the excitement of racing and the beauty of the Caribbean.

Trip Itinerary (Weather Dependent)

Friday & Saturday Days 1-2: Training and Preparation (St Lucia to Carriacou, Grenada)

Your adventure begins in St Lucia, where you’ll meet the crew, receive your sailing kit, and go through essential safety briefings. After discussing our passage plan, we set sail in the afternoon, working on boat handling, sail trim, and emergency procedures while making our way south.

The first night is spent at anchor near the stunning Pitons, where we prepare for an early departure. On Saturday morning, we set off at 0600 for a 90nm non-stop passage directly to Tyrell Bay, Carriacou (Grenada). This is a fantastic opportunity to practice offshore sailing skills, refine tacks, gybes, reefing, and pole work before the racing begins.

Race Days and Regatta Excitement

Sunday Day 3: Final Training and Race Preparations

The morning is dedicated to race check-ins and finalizing our setup with the regatta organizers. The afternoon is spent training in Tyrell Bay, ensuring everyone is comfortable with their roles. The day ends with the official Skippers’ Briefing and Welcome Party—a great chance to soak in the atmosphere.

Monday Day 4: Race Day 1 – Around Carriacou

The first race of the regatta kicks off at 0900, typically a stunning course around Carriacou. Expect a fast-paced, competitive day as we put our training into action! The evening includes prize giving and celebrations ashore.

Tuesday Day 5: Race Day 2 – Carriacou to Grenada (35nm)

A spectacular race from Tyrell Bay to Grenada, finishing off Fort Jeudy Point. We’ll dock at Le Phare Bleu Marina, where post-race festivities include a pirate-themed party—so bring your best costume!

Wednesday Day 6: Lay Day

A well-earned rest day to explore Grenada’s stunning beaches, waterfalls, and local culture. Relax, recharge, and enjoy everything the island has to offer.

Thursday Day 7: Race Day 3 – Prickly Bay to Grand Anse

The fleet starts at 0900, racing from Prickly Bay to Grand Anse, where more prizes await at Port Louis Marina that evening.

Friday Day 8: Final Race Day & Prize Giving – Grand Anse

The last day of racing features short-course races off Grand Anse. This is the final opportunity to push for a top result! After racing concludes, we attend the final prize-giving ceremony, celebrating the end of an incredible regatta.

With an early start on Saturday, we set sail on a non-stop passage back to St Lucia.

Return Passage & Trip End

The passage to St Lucia is non-stop, potentially with some distance covered overnight. Expect open-ocean sailing as we push north through the Caribbean Sea.

The trip will finish in Rodney Bay Marina on the Sunday morning.
