Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I get my own bunk?

Yes. Everyone on board has their own bunk. If we are sailing overnight and in rough weather, the skipper may ask crew to hot bunk on the lower bunks. This means crew buddy up and one will be on watch, while the other sleeps in the lower bunk, and then they swap. This minimises the risk of any injuries. It is not common that this is needed.

  • Are there private cabins?

No. There is one large accommodation area with 8 bunks in it. This actually gives you far more personal space as being crammed into a small cabin with someone you don’t know can be a little tight! Each bunk has a big lee cloth that pulls up once you are in and keeps you snugly in and with some privacy. You change in the heads (toilets).

  • Are there toilets and showers?

Yes. The yachts all have two heads (toilets) and two showers. The showers are small but functional.

  • Are all the boats the same?

Yes. The three Clipper 60s are almost identical.
